What changed each time the pin moved

One IPD-IMGT/HLA release is compiled into the service and every caller gets it, named in every response. When that release moves, this page records what the move changed: how many names were newly assigned, by locus, and every name that left the current table with the verdict it gets before and after. Newest first. To translate names between any two releases, or compare any two, use release history.

How to read an entry

Newly assigned. A name that did not exist in the old release and does in the new one. Under the old release POST /v1/verify called it hallucinated (or valid, if a shorter form of it already existed); under the new one it is valid.
Removed. A name that was in the old release's current table and is not in the new one. Most are extended to a longer name (A*01:284 became A*01:284:01), so the short form stays valid as a prefix and nothing changes for a caller. A recorded rename changes the verdict to deleted, with the successor in the response.
Nothing else moves. An assigned full-resolution name never changes its own two-field name or G group once published, so these two lists are the whole surface of a release move.

Every entry is produced by scripts/release_diff.py in the public engine repository from the two releases' own files, and anyone can recompute it. If a pipeline hardcodes expected verdicts for specific names, re-run those names against POST /v1/normalize after a move. Nothing else needs doing: every response names its release, so an old verdict stays explainable.

Pinned release moved on 2026-10-15. 796 names newly assigned; 24 left the current table: 22 still valid as a prefix of a longer name, 2 now deleted, with a recorded successor.
